Candid and its affiliates (collectively “Candid,” “we” and “us”) respect your privacy. We offer services that enable businesses to streamline the purchase order process and partner with Stripe to safely conduct online payment transactions.
This Privacy Policy describes the types of personal data we collect, how we use it, with whom we share it, your rights and choices, and how you can contact us about your privacy practices. This policy does not apply to third party websites, products, or services, even if they link to our Services or Site, and you should consider the privacy practices of those third parties carefully.
WHAT PERSONAL DATA WE COLLECT AND WHY WE COLLECT IT
We may collect personal information from you in the following ways, some of which are described in more detail below: (a) Through the maintenance and analysis of server logs showing us visitors to our site and users on our platform; (b) via e-mail and other communications between you and us; (c) through automated data collection that happens when you visit our website or use our platform; and (d) through any surveys or other marketing questionnaires that we use for research purposes.
COOKIES
Candid uses session cookies to make it easier for you to navigate our site. A cookie is a small text file that is stored on a user’s computer for record-keeping purposes. We do not link the information we store in cookies to any personally identifiable information you submit while on our site.
We use both session ID cookies and persistent cookies. A session ID cookie expires when you close your browser. A persistent cookie remains on your hard drive for an extended period of time. You can remove persistent cookies by following directions provided in your Internet browser’s “help” file.

NON-PERSONAL INFORMATION
Like many web sites, we collect and analyze standard log file information and Session ID information to analyze site traffic, improve site performance, and prevent fraud. Session IDs are bits of code on your computer that assist your browser in navigating our site. We do not associate personal information with log file information or cookies, except when needed to prevent fraud.
WEBSITE ANALYTICS
Our website uses Google Analytics, a service which transmits website traffic data to Google servers in the United States. Google Analytics does not identify individual users or associate your IP address with any other data held by Google. You can opt-out of having made your activity on the Service available to Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. The add-on prevents the Google Analytics JavaScript (ga.js, analytics.js, and dc.js) from sharing information with Google Analytics about visits activity.
EMBEDDED CONTENT FROM OTHER WEBSITES
Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.
These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.
WHO WE SHARE YOUR DATA WITH
We may employ third parties to facilitate our services, perform website-related services (including but not limited to data storage, maintenance services, database management, web analytics, payment processing, and improvement of the website features) or to assist us in analyzing how our website used. These third parties have access to your personal information only for purposes of performing these tasks on our behalf, and we endeavor to provide only the portion of the personal information that is relevant to these tasks.
HOW LONG WE RETAIN YOUR DATA
We keep client purchase records for five years and analytics records for five years.
WHERE WE SEND YOUR DATA
Candid may sell, transfer or otherwise share some or all of its assets, including your Personal Information, in connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganization or sale of assets or in the event of bankruptcy.
Candid stores personal Information in the cloud, our servers, and the servers of our service providers. To facilitate our global operations, we may transfer and access such information from around the world, including to servers located in the United States. By providing information to Candid, you consent to the transfer and storage of Personal Information in these locations.
HOW WE PROTECT YOUR DATA
We follow generally accepted industry standards, including encryption, to protect the personal information submitted to us, both during transmission and once we receive it. No method of online transmission or electronic storage is 100% secure, however. Therefore, while we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
WHAT RIGHTS YOU HAVE OVER YOUR DATA
Requesting your Personal Information
You may request a copy of your personal information by emailing contacting us at hello@candidretail.com, with a subject of “Personal Information Request.” We will respond to your request within 30 days with a file containing all of the information we have collected from you through your interaction with our website.
Choice/Opt Out
As an individual, you have the opportunity to limit the personal information you provide. We provide you with the opportunity to “opt out” of having your personally identifiable information used for certain purposes. If you no longer wish to receive information and/or promotional communications, you may opt out of them by contacting us at hello@candidretail.com.
Corrections and Deletions
You may access and correct your personal information, and to cancel and delete your records, by sending a request to hello@candidretail.com. Deleting your information may interfere with transactions in progress, in which case the deletion will be delayed an appropriate amount of time. We will respond to any appropriate request to access, correct, update or delete your personal information within the time period specified by law (if applicable) or without excessive delay, and will fulfill requests to delete unless the request is not technically feasible or such data is required to be retained by law.
OUR POLICY TOWARDS CHILDREN
Our site is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If a parent or guardian becomes aware that his or her child has provided us with Personal Information without their consent, he or she should contact us at hello@candidretail.com. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will delete such information from our files.
LEGAL DISCLAIMER
We reserve the right to disclose your personally identifiable information as required by law and when we believe that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights or to comply with a judicial proceeding, court order, or legal process served on our website.

CHANGES IN THIS PRIVACY STATEMENT
We reserve the right to modify this privacy policy at any time, so please review it frequently.
